Event ID 4163 Source MSDTC

Today I received the following error in event viewer in one of my developers machine

Event ID 4163 Source MSDTC

MS DTC log file not found. After ensuring that all Resource Managers coordinated by MS DTC have no indoubt transactions, please run msdtc -resetlog to create the log file.

As usual there was no proper solution... 

so after doing some searching, following steps resolved our issues

Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\MsDtc  ....... this is where the MSDTC log file resides

right click on MsDtc and give full rights to everyone 


now everything is working fine..
